She is the second character to be in this situation, the first being Harrison, the third being Asher, the fourth being Skipper Stu, and the fifth and sixth being Harry and Hamish.
Despite being voiced by the same actress in both dubs, Ninia Benjamin gives Decka an American accent in the US dub as opposed to her British accent in the UK dub. The credits for the BBC iPlayer release of Chug Patrol Chief with an updated intro and credits misspells her name as "Decks". In German, she is called "Dana", and in Polish, she is called "Dalia". She used one to welcome Piper's arrival in Toot's New Friend. Decka has a sign that can change pictures. She is the second double decker chugger in Chuggington, the first being Mtambo. Her catchphrases usually have her name incorporated into them. The second is Wilson starting in the fourth season, the third is Jackman, the fourth is Skipper Stu, the fifth and sixth are Harry and Hamish, and the seventh is Russ. She is the first chugger to have mirrors attached. She is the only double decker tram in Chuggington. Part 3 - Share the Load and Mind Your Mannersĭecka has not appeared on the show since 2015. Season 4 - Chug Patrol: Ready to Rescue and Chuggineers: Ready to Build ( cameo). Season 5 - First Responder Calley ( cameo), Sinkhole Rescue ( cameo), Cormac Patrol ( cameo), Delivery Challenge ( cameo) and Chug Patrol Chief. Season 4 - Wilson's Forest Flare, Explorer Koko ( cameo), The Old Silver Mine Line ( cameo), Fearless Wilson, We Are the Chuggineers ( stock footage cameo), Team Trainee ( cameo), Record Breaker Koko ( cameo), The Tootington Tunnel ( cameo) and Iron Chuggers ( cameo). Season 3 - Top Secret Koko and Toot's New Friend. However, she does seem to resemble a Blackpool double-decker tram.ĭecka is painted persimmon with a fiery lining. Therefore, she is not based on a specific prototype. It is unknown if this story was made specifically for marketing or if it had been a cut script, because Decka was supposed to be given a more proper introduction during the original vision of the third series.ĭecka is of a freelance design. In a script that was used on the back of a trading card, Decka would have broken down in a flooded tunnel and be ceremoniously rescued by Action Chugger. Between the third and fourth seasons, her passenger route was expanded noticeably now covering the Safari Park and the countryside stations too. Around the same time, she also attended Piper's welcoming ceremony at the Depot. Due to this, she was one of the chuggers who spread the rumour about the moon dance happening at the Safari Park further - almost causing the event to be ruined, and like everybody else, feeling instant regret about it. I am in the process of comparing Traktor and Deckadance, and so far I am seeing a lot of overlap, which is good because I might switch. After coming to Chuggington, Decka was consistently seen performing her passenger runs in Chug Town and enjoying chatting and especially gossiping with other chuggers. Heck, it can even handle SysEx messages to initialize my Launchpad and my BCR2000!ĭeckadance also supports third-party VST plugins
An unlimited number of variables may be defined and named meaningfully (as opposed to Traktor's skimpy M1-M8 'modifiers'). With Deckadance DeckaScripting it's very easy to achieve sophisticated mappings, especially controller banks or pages. I have always had great mapping ideas but I am never in the mood to implement them in Traktor because it's just too hard to do anything mildly sophisticated. I am not talking about crappy mouse-driven scripting like in Traktor, I am talking about scripts that can be edited by humans in any plain-text editor, organized logically into separate files, merged, split and shared with other users without being constrained to a monstrous, monolithic, encrypted TSI file that can only be clumsily edited in Traktor's mapping editor. However, I have just checked the latest version and learnt that, since v2.2 was (released on 29 July 2013), Deckadance is equipped with proper bi-directional MIDI comms and full-blown MIDI scripting capabilities. This is the main reason I am a devoted Traktor user.
I've never been a fan of Deckadance becasue it only provided support for very basic custom MIDI controller mappings, and no LED feedback.
